The b2 is created in the same vein as all Yamaha instruments observing their unique ‘Kando’ image. Similar to all other Yamaha uprights, 100% of the parts for the b2 are made by Yamaha, and it is only constructed on its own individual assembly line at the Kakegawa factory. This ensures the highest levels of craftsmanship, and allow for stringent quality control measures to be observed. It is upon this basis that Yamaha have forged a reputation for reliability, longevity and quality, which is exemplified in all of their instruments.
With the advent of the b2, Yamaha set themselves a challenge to condense their 100 years of expertise into an affordable unit, that doesn’t cut corners in terms of production or materials used. They have succeeded. The B2 provides excellent value for money as the middle of the entry level upright on offer.
Larger dimensions and heavier construction result in a superior sound, delivered through a greater depth and volume. It also has front and rear casters, facilitating in improved mobility.
