“A thoroughly professional company”

Peter Thursfield

Here at Broughton Pianos we make selling your current piano easy. You can benefit from fair trade prices, unbiased advice and industry leading part exchange packages.

With over 35 years of piano sales experience we have purchased over 5 million pounds in acoustic pianos domestically and internationally in the last 10 years alone.

Piano valuation

When trying to provide accurate valuations on used upright or grand pianos we will require some basic piano details, such as piano make and model, serial number, history of maintenance i.e. tuning, reason for sale and a few photographs.

Part exchange

If you are thinking about trading in your own piano, we provide excellent part exchange packages. We might not offer you quite as much as a private buyer but we see value in being able to provide a professional service which saves you all the hassle of having to advertise the piano privately, having strangers coming into your home for viewings etc. An added benefit with us is that of course you can keep your piano until your new instrument arrives. Easy and straight forward.

Piano disposal

Unfortunately, if your piano is older than 80 years old and in original condition the chances are that it will have no residual value and often the disposal fee outweighs the instruments value. We charge £145 for upright piano disposals and £295 for grand pianos within a 30-mile radius of our showroom. These prices are subject to access restrictions and obstacles on collection such as steps, gravel driveways and garden entrances.

If you are unsure if your piano falls into the ‘Piano disposal’ category, then please contact us at either of the following: [email protected] or 01562 731113.
