Each Blüthner is produced in Germany with careful attention to materials and construction, resulting in the warm and expressive voice for which the maker is known.
The Blüthner Model A stands at 124 cm, making it a versatile upright that fits easily into most homes while still offering the unmistakable characteristics of a handcrafted German piano. As part of Blüthner’s Leipzig-built upright range, it is designed with careful attention to balance, sustain and clarity, giving players a dependable and musical instrument for daily use.
The tone of the Model A is warm and expressive with a clear, well supported bass for its size, a rounded mid-range and a treble that carries without harshness. It is a piano that invites long practice sessions, offering musical depth at quieter volumes and enough projection for more advanced repertoire. The action is responsive and even, allowing developing players and more experienced musicians to shape phrasing with accuracy and comfort.
This model suits pianists who want a traditional German upright that does not dominate the room but still provides a noticeable step up in musical refinement compared with many studio sized pianos. It works well for classical repertoire, teaching, regular home practice and light recording or accompaniment work. The cabinet is solidly built and typically includes a practice pedal for reduced volume playing, which is useful in shared or smaller living spaces.
Buying from Broughton Pianos ensures the instrument has been fully inspected, prepared and tuned in our workshop before reaching your home. We provide honest guidance, careful delivery and follow-up support so the piano performs at its best. To check availability or arrange a viewing, please call 01562 731113.
