The CA-701 includes the grand feel III wooden-key keyboard action with an ivory/ebony touch. This is slightly larger than the CA401 and has extra features. You can enjoy hours of playing with the sound of the SK-EX Concert grand piano sound. The PianoRemote app and PiaBookPlayer app is fully supported by this piano model. The cabinet design is more modern in appearance with tapered legs and rounded edges. It is available in Premiun Rosewood, Satin Black, Satin White and Ebony Polish.
What's new?
- You can also play to the sound of the SK-EX Competition Grand Piano which has been reproduced using Kawai's advanced multi-channel SK-EX Rendering sound engine. Even the SK-EX Concert grand has been made using new sample data.
- Both SK-EX pianos sounds are processed using new audio hardware which incorporates a high performance DAC system and custom developed piano filter.
- The speakers have been upgraded to 360 degrees top speaker diffusers to give players the most authentic sound.
- The touchscreen display now has an anti-glare panel and you can also turn off the LCD display if you don't want it to distract you.
- The latest V5 standards ensure ultra low latency with the bleutooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio.
- The cabinet has a taller upper body with new adjustable support pins and the positioning of the pedals and music rest have also been improved.
- The virtual technician has now become the virtual piano artisan - with even more adjustments available!
What makes the sound samples so good?
Like the CA401, sound samples have been created using harmonic imaging and 88 key sampling. However, the sound samples have also been developed through multi-channel 88 key rendering and resonance modelling. These techniques are all used to create the best sound samples for you whether that be through your headphones or out loud. This digital piano has 96 sounds as opposed to the 19 sounds in the CA401, and 256 note polyphony as opposed to 192 note polyphony with the CA401. The sounds include also include the Kawai EX Concert Grand, SK-5 Grand and K60 Upright Piano.
