A compact grand with concert quality tone, the brand new Kawai GL-20 combines cutting edge design with the rich tradition of Kawai craftsmanship.

Kawai GL-20 Grand Piano – Now Available in Birmingham, UK

The Kawai GL-20 grand piano is the latest addition to Kawai’s celebrated GL Series, combining advanced piano technology with timeless craftsmanship. At just 157cm in length, the GL-20 offers the rich, resonant sound of a larger grand while remaining compact enough for modern homes, studios and teaching spaces.

Available to try at our Birmingham piano showroom in the Midlands, the GL-20 is a superb choice for pianists, teachers and families seeking a world class instrument that balances power, elegance and long term reliability.

World-Leading Touch – The Millennium III Action

At the heart of the GL-20 lies Kawai’s Millennium III action, crafted from ABS-Carbon – a material stronger and more stable than traditional wood. This innovation makes the action lighter, faster and more precise, delivering exceptional responsiveness across all dynamic levels. Pianists will appreciate the GL-20’s ability to play with both commanding fortissimo and the most delicate pianissimo.

Exceptional Tone and Resonance

The GL-20 features a tapered solid spruce soundboard, carefully selected for its ability to amplify and enrich every note. Combined with a hardwood bridge, agraffes for string alignment, and a duplex scale that enhances treble harmonics, the result is a piano with remarkable warmth, clarity and projection. Whether performing in a home, recital space or studio, the GL-20 provides a tone that inspires.

Built for Strength and Stability

Kawai’s SOLID construction ensures the GL-20 is designed to stand the test of time. The V-Pro iron plate with crossbone design, multi-grip pinblock and steel-reinforced keybed guarantee tuning stability and long-lasting durability – even in demanding teaching or performance environments. The soft-fall fallboard adds both safety and elegance, preventing accidental lid drops.

Why Choose the GL-20?

  • Compact size (157cm length) without compromise on tone
  • World-renowned Kawai touch and stability
  • Perfect for homes, studios, schools and teaching environments
  • Available to try in our dedicated piano showroom near Birmingham

Our team of specialists can guide you through the features, compare the GL-20 to other Kawai baby grand pianos, and arrange delivery, setup and aftercare.
