One of the most popular models of new pianos, the Kawai K-500 is an acoustic piano that is part of the K-series of uprights. The Kawai K-500 is a versatile instrument that can meet the demands of any home or studio environment and offers a rare combination of dynamic range, tonal richness and power. Equipped with its newly designed scale, taller height and revolutionary Millennium III upright action, the Kawai K-500 has a beautiful tone and offers superb playability.
Manufactured in Hamamatsu, Japan, the Kawai K-500 is a popular choice for customers and is a highly regarded model in the K series. The Kawai K-500 is designed with extra features that place it in a different category of upright piano.
The Kawai K-500 rivals many smaller grand pianos in tonal quality and sustain. It has longer bass strings which enable it to produce a richer overall tone and its ultra-responsive touch offers pianists spectacular dynamic range and control. The Kawai K-500 has been expertly crafted to enable it to deliver the finest performance of any upright piano.
Sitting in the middle of the K series range the Kawai K-500 provides a volume level perfect for those who find the K-600 and K-800 too powerful. Built to an incredibly high standard, the K-500 features the exclusive Millennium III upright action with ABS-Carbon composites, mahogany core hammers, duplex scaling that enhances the harmonics in the treble range and NEOTEX key surfaces, that have fantastic durability over the years and will resist any cracking or fading with sustained use. The soft lid fall, increased music desk and sleek straight edged cabinet make it aesthetically pleasing and perfect for a variety of environments.
The combination of power, dynamic range and tonal richness contribute to making the K-500 upright piano one of the most sought-after upright pianos in the world with it rivalling popular leading European piano brands.
