A premium hybrid digital piano that combines the precision of an acoustic upright action with the flexibility and connectivity of modern digital technology.
The Kawai Novus NV6 Hybrid Digital Piano combines the authentic feel of a traditional acoustic upright with the flexibility of modern digital technology. As the successor to the popular NV5S, this latest 2025 model introduces upgraded sound, connectivity, and design refinements, making it one of the most advanced hybrid pianos available today.
At its heart, the NV6 features Kawai’s renowned Millennium III Hybrid upright piano action, a full acoustic mechanism with real hammers and damper system. This provides the touch and responsiveness of a fine acoustic upright, while advanced optical sensors ensure every nuance is captured with precision. The result is a digital piano with real acoustic action, ideal for both serious practice and performance.
Sound is powered by the multi-channel SK-EX Rendering engine, offering two world class grand piano voices: the new SK-EX Competition Grand, recorded from the pianist’s perspective for a bright, articulate tone, and the established SK-EX Concert Grand, known for its warmth and tonal depth. A premium dual DAC system and newly developed sampling filter ensure both instruments are faithfully reproduced.
The NV6’s redesigned speaker system includes top facing drivers, dome tweeters, and a refined soundboard speaker, creating a balanced, immersive sound that fills the room naturally. Whether at home, in a teaching studio, or on stage, the NV6 delivers a rich, detailed tone for both players and audiences.
Practical improvements also make the NV6 digital piano more enjoyable to use day to day. The new anti-glare touchscreen ensures clear visibility in all lighting conditions, while an updated user interface allows the display to be turned off completely for distraction-free playing. Pianists can also explore in depth customisation with the improved Virtual Piano Artisan system, adjusting resonance, voicing, pedal response, and more.
Connectivity has been brought up to modern standards with Bluetooth MIDI and Audio v5 for stable, low latency wireless use. A USB-C port with built in audio interface makes it easy to record or stream high-quality audio directly to computers or smart devices.
Finished in a slimline upright cabinet with subtle design refinements and enhanced structural rigidity, the Kawai Novus NV6 is built for lasting reliability.
