A traditional acoustic upright enhanced with TransAcoustic technology, allowing volume control, silent headphone practice and soundboard-driven playback.
Yamaha B10 TC3 TransAcoustic Piano – Acoustic Piano with Volume Control, Soundboard Speaker & Smart Connectivity
The Yamaha B10 TC3 TransAcoustic Piano redefines what an acoustic piano can do - combining the authentic touch and tone of a traditional upright with innovative technology that allows you to control volume, play digitally, and even use the piano itself as a speaker.
At its core, the B10 remains a genuine Yamaha acoustic piano, offering a clear, balanced tone and reliable action. However, the addition of Yamaha’s latest TC3 TransAcoustic system transforms how the instrument can be used in modern homes.
Unlike traditional silent systems, TransAcoustic technology allows you to control the volume of your acoustic piano while still using the soundboard to produce sound. A specially developed transducer vibrates the soundboard directly, meaning you hear real acoustic resonance even at very low volumes - preserving the natural feel and presence of the instrument.
This gives you complete flexibility:
- Play as a full acoustic piano
- Reduce the volume for evening practice without losing tone
- Switch to headphone mode for silent playing
- Or use the piano in TransAcoustic mode for controlled, room-friendly sound
The TC3 system also features Yamaha’s Articulation Sensor technology, which precisely detects every movement of the keys, allowing for highly accurate digital sound reproduction without affecting the natural touch of the piano.
Beyond practice, the B10 TC3 becomes a versatile digital instrument. With built-in sound engines and modelling, the piano reproduces a wide range of tones that respond dynamically to your playing, maintaining realism across all dynamics.
One of the standout features is the ability to use the piano as a built-in speaker system. Thanks to the transducer driving the soundboard, you can stream music directly through the instrument via Bluetooth, filling the room with rich, resonant sound in a way conventional speakers cannot replicate.
With Bluetooth audio and MIDI connectivity, the piano integrates seamlessly with smart devices. Yamaha’s Smart Pianist app provides intuitive control over sounds, settings, and features, along with chord recognition, interactive learning tools, and access to a wide library of music - making this an ideal solution for both beginners and experienced players.
Additional features include:
- Volume control without losing acoustic character
- Silent practice with headphones
- Built-in metronome and recording functions
- Multiple instrument voices for versatility
- USB connectivity for recording and music software integration
As part of the newly updated B Series, the B10 also benefits from Yamaha’s latest refinements, including improved hammer design and a redesigned soundboard that delivers a clearer, more resonant tone even in a compact cabinet - ideal for home environments.
The Yamaha B10 TC3 is perfect for players who want more than just silent practice - offering a unique blend of acoustic authenticity, adjustable volume, and modern digital functionality in one compact upright.
