The Yamaha SU7 is the leading light of Yamaha's upright piano range.
This instrument is perfect for the most accomplished of pianists. Sold exclusively in Europe and Japan, it is handcrafted by some of the world's best craftsmen, from the finest materials available. The embodiment of the Kando ethos, the SU7 fuses traditional techniques with the latest technology for the best possible sound.
The SU7's CFIIIS specification hammers and high quality agraffes give a rich, balanced tone close to that of a high-end grand piano. This Yamaha instrument has rightfully gained an international reputation for excellence, and can provide a concert standard piano small enough for anyone's home. This mode also comes fitted with the top of the range Yamaha SH3 Silent system, for the ultimate silent piano experience. No longer will night-time practice mean sacrificing the feel of your acoustic piano.
The SH3 silent system also has non-contact hammer sensors (2-point detection optical fiber sensors) as well as key sensors . There are also sensors that measure the movement of the sostenuto pedal as well as the damper and soft pedal. Along with the CFX Grand and Bösendorfer Imperial sound samples, 25 types of sound are available ranging from E-pianos, Organs, strings and choirs!
Binaural Sampling and Virtual Resonance Modelling have been used to create high quality piano samples during silent mode, and Grand Expression Modelling has been used to reproduce your playing through headphones as accurately as possible. You can also connect to external speakers and other devices via USB and also connect to Smart Pianist App via bluetooth.
