Crafted for the serious pianist – premium German materials and elegant design combine in a piano of rare character and balance.
The Danemann DG-170 represents the perfect meeting point between advanced performance and refined craftsmanship. Building on Danemann’s proud heritage of grand piano making, the DG-170 elevates the experience with carefully selected German components and a design that inspires pianists to perform at their best.
At 170cm in length, this model offers a full bodied tone and deep resonance, projecting with confidence in any space, whether a music room, recital hall or teaching studio. Its larger soundboard, made by Strunz of Germany, brings exceptional tonal clarity and sustain, while Abel hammers contribute warmth, definition and colour to every note. Meanwhile, Roslau strings, widely regarded as among the finest available, ensure brightness and strength without ever becoming brittle.
The DG-170’s action is precise and highly responsive, allowing complete freedom of expression across all registers. Pianists will find nuance, power, and control in equal measure, all housed within a casework that blends traditional design cues with modern elegance. The shape of the lid and music desk, the solid, sculpted legs, and the veneered inner rim lend a sense of timeless quality, whether placed in a classic or contemporary setting.
A soft-close fall comes as standard, and customers may choose between brass or chrome detailing, helping the piano complement a range of interior styles.
When you open the lid, one of the most eye-catching features is the bird’s-eye maple inlay that gracefully borders the inside rim. This subtle yet striking detail adds a sense of luxury and craftsmanship, reinforcing the piano’s status as an instrument of both musical and aesthetic refinement.
With its rich tonal palette, exceptional build quality, and premium German parts throughout, the DG-170 sits at the heart of the Danemann range as the ultimate all-rounder, bridging the gap between compact versatility and concert-level sound. A truly inspiring piano for pianists who demand more.
