Continuing in the legacy of Kawai K2, the K-200 acoustic upright piano upholds the same dependable standards witnessed in all Kawai pianos by combining modern advancements with traditional Japanese building techniques.

Acoustic piano for starting lessons and developing technique, available in multiple finishes and optional silent/ hybrid systems.

The Kawai K200 is a professional grade acoustic upright piano designed to support students and advancing players throughout their piano journey. Its Millennium III Upright Action with ABS-Carbon composite parts provides a responsive and stable touch that helps learners build control, accuracy and confidence from early lessons onwards.

This instrument includes a solid spruce soundboard and mahogany core hammers, engineered to produce a clear, balanced tone suitable for home practice, graded exams and regular lessons. The K200’s traditional 114 cm cabinet is compact enough for domestic spaces around the Midlands or Birmingham while still delivering full-sized touch and tonal character.

Silent and hybrid options available

  • Kawai K200 ATX4 Acoustic Upright Piano – Adds Kawai’s ATX4 silent system, allowing the acoustic piano to be muted for practice through headphones and digital sound options when quieter playing is needed. Digital sound is powered by high-quality sampling and controlled via the PianoRemote app on iOS/Android.
  • Kawai K200 AURES 2 Hybrid Upright Piano – Includes the Aures 2 system, which adds speaker-enhanced soundboard playback and wireless connectivity, combining acoustic feel with advanced digital features.

Finishes and appearance
The K200 range comes in a variety of finishes including polished ebony, polished white, and other polished or satin options with chrome or brass hardware, giving customers choice to suit different interiors.

Available at Broughton Pianos to view and play, with professional delivery and setup across the Midlands and Birmingham, plus support for tuning and servicing as students progress.
